Pension Větrník

Restaurants and breweries Coin no. 012

Pension Větrník is originally a very old chapel, which was founded in the same year as the Břevnov monastery of St. Margaret, i.e. in 993. This place was also used as a quarry on marl and to this day there are noticeable height differences in the adjacent garden.
In 1277, Abbot Godefrid had a wooden windmill built here, which successfully served until 1722. The mill also had its own water reservoir – a 30 m deep well, which is still in operation today.
Hospitality has a tradition of more than a hundred years in Větrník. The first garden restaurant was established here in 1899 after Větrník was bought by Jan Josef Černohorský. The descendants of the Černohorský family still oversee the good name and reputation of this house, so you will always sleep with us in peace and comfort.
