The Botanical Garden of the Capital City of Prague was founded in 1969 and opened to the public in 1992. In the garden, visitors can see park-like areas with an exhibition collection of ornamental garden plants, such as irises, daylilies, annuals, garden perennials and rock gardens. The Japanese Garden, an exhibition of Turkey and the Mediterranean and a collection of heath plants also invite you to a tour. The view of the Vineyard of St. Clare offers one of the most beautiful views of the historical center of Prague. The garden is currently experiencing dynamic development and new exhibitions are being prepared. An interesting feature is the Fata Morgana greenhouse – a unique exhibition greenhouse 130 m long, 17 m wide and up to 11 meters high above the terrain with a total exhibition area of 1,750 m2.
