In the years 1623–1945 , Horšovský Týn passed into the possession of the Trauttmansdorff family. Since 1945 , the castle has been owned by the state.
- The National Cultural Monument of the State Castle and Chateau Horšovský Týn is one of the most accessible buildings in the Czech Republic.
- The administration of the castle and chateau of Horšovský Týn also includes the adjacent park with an area of almost 40 hectares, the Church of All Saints in the nearby village of Horšov and the Church of St. Anne on Vršíček near Horšovský Týn.
