Cottage Výrovka is located in a mountain saddle at an altitude of 1356 meters at the crossroads of roads from Strážné to Luční bouda and from Špindlerův Mlýn to Pec pod Sněžkou. The original name Geiergucke referred to its popularity with financial guard patrols. It is a well-known and popular excursion place in the area of Luční hora – Černá hora. Near today’s Cottage Výrovka , there used to be Havel’s hut, two military buildings from 1926, which, however, burned down in November 1947 and February 1948. However, as one of the few mountain cottages destroyed, Výrovka was restored. Today’s building was designed at the end of the 80s of the 20th century. Cottage Výrovka provides hotel-type accommodation and catering. It is one of the best places in the Giant Mountains for wonderful trips, in summer or winter on ski touring and cross-country skiing. In the vicinity you can hike to Sněžka, to the memorial to the victims of the mountains, Luční bouda, to Pec pod Sněžkou, Špindlerův Mlýn, Úpa or Poland, etc.
Various routes to the Výrovka cottage can be found on the Geok server – we wish you a pleasant journey through the Giant Mountains.
