The building was built in 1921-1922, according to the design of the Wroclaw
architect ERASA, as a shelter under Sněžka (Dom Śląski). until 1945.
In 1951, the district council in the city of Jelenia Gora decided to hand over the building to the administration and operation of the Polish branch of the Tourist Board in Jelenia Gora.
Since 13.11.2007 the Silesian House has been run by Mr. Karol Warecki.
