Mountain chalet Pancíř

Cable cars and peaks Coin no. 032

A wooded hill (1214 m) above Železná Ruda in the Royal Forest. At the top there is a tourist cottage from 1923 and a lookout tower. The cottage was built by the Volhynian Club of Czech Tourists and called it Matoušova chata. There is a beautiful circular view of the double tip of Ostrý and the wide surroundings. In good conditions, you can also see the Alps, almost 200 km away, especially the Dachstein massif. A chairlift from Špičák leads to the top of Pancíř with the Hofmanky intermediate station, which is 2739 m long and overcomes a height difference of 347 m. On the northwestern slope of the mountain there is a ski slope and a ski lift.
