The majestic Střekov rises on a black rock, rising from the surface of the Elbe to a height of one hundred meters. On rainy nights, the ghost of the young daughter of the castle lord, who once said goodbye to life here with a deep leap, is said to be scratching the cliff. She is looking for the ghost of her dear, poor horseman, who was left to starve to death in the castle walls as a punishment for tasting forbidden love. One visit is enough and the castle will get under your skin as well. The well-preserved stone walls alternate with the ruined fortifications, which only in outlines indicate how majestic this building, built to protect the Elbe trade route, once was.
