In 2013, the Svijany Brewery acquired the dilapidated chateau and decided to save it, which it succeeded with the help of a grant from the EEA and Norway Grants. During the reconstruction and archaeological research, rare finds were discovered, such as a 3,000-year-old bronze needle or a secret passage in the underground of the chateau. At present, Svijany Castle is open to the public, who can see an exhibition of archaeology, the history of the castle and its surroundings, the history of brewing and barberry, the underground, the old and new castle chapels and more.
