Sněžka (1602 m above sea level) is the highest mountain in the Giant Mountains and Sudetenland. It has been a magical place for tourists for centuries and has created a symbol of Karpacz. At its top is the Baroque chapel of St. Lawrence. Lawrence, the patron saint of guides. Sněžka is the best view of the Sudetenland and Lower Silesia. There is also a restaurant, a weather station and a mountain hut. The top of Sněžka is made up of hard metamorphic rocks overgrown with alpine and polar plants, the slopes are covered with pastures. The best access to Sněžka is from Karpacz, from where several hiking trails lead, you can also take a chairlift to the nearby top of Kop. Snow cover usually appears in October and remains until May. An unforgettable experience is the sunrise and sunset on Sněžka.
