Private Lego Museum

Museums Coin no. 479

The museum is located in the historical center of the city of Tábor. The entire exhibition is located in the national cultural monument on Špitálské náměstí. In a historic building with an area of more than 200m2, you will see an exhibition of LEGO sets from the collection of one collector.

The exhibition is thematically divided, e.g. LEGO Architecture, LEGO Technic, LEGO Ideas, etc.  Hundreds of original models from all over the world can be seen and other interesting, rare and exclusive pieces are constantly being added.

During your own tour, you also have the opportunity to see the story of the entire history and creation of the LEGO brick. The museum is interactive, you will find over 1.5 million LEGO bricks here.

Among the exhibits, you can also see the Statue of Liberty, the Tower Bridge,  the Eiffel Tower and the Indian Taj Mahal.

You can also see a copy of Beneš’s villa, built from more than 20 thousand Lego bricks. The building is built in a scale of 1:42 and is a faithful copy of the original. Another interesting building is a copy of the Tábor restaurant Střelnice in a scale of 1:50, built from more than 100 thousand LEGO bricks.

The oldest exhibits include original wooden toys from the 1940s and 1950s or pressed plastic toys from the 1950s.

The exhibition is not only European, but also world unique and rare.

After the tour, there is a children’s corner where you can “play” with LEGO bricks.

It is possible to end the visit to the museum by shopping in a shop where LEGO sets are offered, which are not commonly sold in retail chains in the Czech Republic.
