Vrátna Valley is located about 25 km from the town of Žilina and 3 km from the village of Terchová in the Malá Fatra National Park. The majestic Gorges with rock formations resembling a praying monk will take you through the entrance gate to Vrátna Valley.
In winter, skiers and snowboarders in Vrátná will enjoy themselves on 18 slopes with a total length of 14 km, of which 8.5 km are artificially snowed and 12 km are regularly groomed. High-quality slopes are accessible by 13 lifts and 2 modern cable cars (4-seater in Paseky and an 8-seater cabin on Chleb). There is also illuminated night skiing on a type of approved slope in the most popular location of Paseky. In the charming location of Chleb you will find perfect ski mountaineering terrain and 2 freeride zones where you can enjoy your adrenaline experiences.
Vrátna rightly deserves the status of an Olympic training center, because international events and competitions are regularly held here. The quality and difficulty of the slopes in Vrátna are also evidenced by the best Slovak winter athletes – downhill skier Zuzulová and Olympian Rado Židek.
